    Carinthia MIG 3.0 grey

Posted by Brent on 26th Aug 2020

This jacket is excellent. Seams are perfectly straight, zippers all heavy duty, smooth & easy to manipulate with gloves, extra durable material on heavy wear areas; elbows & shoulders. Lots of deep, useful pockets. I wore this with a t-shirt in -3c light snow, I was warm with mild activity. I chose this over Arcteryx shell for the utility pockets & insulation, I’m very happy I did. This jacket size runs big & long. I’m 175cm’s & usually wear XL. I wear this jacket in L over an archery’s mid layer comfortably. I also have a HIG 4.0, I prefer MIG 3.0 as collar on the HIG is too high & covers mouth. Lining is very comfortable against the skin. I have found this jacket well suited for sports, hunting, touring & security work in cold weather & snow. I stayed dry & water pilled off in light snow & mild rain. I haven’t used this jacket in heavy rain yet, but I’m confident I’d stay dry. I’m not a fan of fixed hoods, but this one is low profile & doesn’t get in the way or snag.

    Excellent quality!

Anyone familiar with Carinthia sleeping bags and bivy's will know the mark of quality. This jacket maintains that high standard. Well constructed, stylish, comfortable and very warm. I live in Canberra and have experienced temperatures as low as -9.9C. Although I've only just purchased this jacket, I'm confident that it'll handle that comfortably.. I'm 5'11" and weigh about 120kg. The 2XL fits me well with enough room for a light jumper underneath. Delivery was great. Highly recommended!

    Everything and MORE!

This jacket is just fantastic, it’s soft and very comfortable on the inside but tough on the outside. Ideal for the extreme weather in a Victorian winter.

    Excellent kit; fantastic service!

The jacket has lived up to expectations so far, very warm, great design. Yet to test it in really harsh conditions but I am confident it will be a big step up over my issued kit. Service was absolutely fantastic, went to great lengths to help me get the right item and delivered in time!
