CARING FOR YOUR SLEEPING BAG

  • Now you have a quality sleeping bag, you need to care for it properly, to keep it in good condition and get years of use from it.
  • Always use a liner. All sleeping bags lose a little bit of their warmth every time they are washed. Using a liner means you will rarely have to wash the sleeping bag, and it will keep it's warmth for many years.
  • When you store the bag, it's best to hang the bag un-compressed so it maintains it's loft. If you don't have the space, store you sleeping bag in a large cotton bag, not too compresed, and air it out on a regular basis

The Gore membrane is durable and chemical resistant however, it does need to be kept clean. Follow the advice below to get years of value and service from your Gortex Carinthia product.

  • Gortex can be washed in a normal machine on warm cycle using a mild detergent.
  • After washing, line dry or tumble dry on warm/delicate setting.
  • A warm iron can be used to restore the Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish.
